People in Stoney Creek and Grimsby really need your help
With the rapid rise of inflation, many families here in Winona, Stoney Creek, and Grimsby are unable to make ends meet. They’re having to choose between heating and eating. They need your help. Now!
The fastest way to turn that frown upside down is to help people in our communities who are facing food insecurity. Not only will it put smiles on their faces, you will be grinning too. That’s because – thanks to a generous matching gift from the Winona Men’s Club – your donation will be doubled!!
We all need to chip in
Even as life has returned to ‘normal’ for many after the pandemic, use of the Stoney Creek Community Food Bank has skyrocketed! “People who have NEVER before needed help are now turning to us in record numbers,” says Food Bank volunteer treasurer, Shirley Vandenberg.
“With more than 250 visits a month, twice as many people have accessed our Food Bank in 2022 compared to last year,” Shirley adds with dismay.
Needless to say, this huge increase in demand means that many Food Bank clients routinely leave without the fresh produce, milk and eggs they need to feed their families nutritious, well-balanced meals. “Most people have no idea how great the need is!”
We’re turning to you because people who are in need of healthy food are turning to us!

You know us for our sensational sundaes at the Winona Peach Festival, but many say that the Winona Men’s Club deserves to be recognized as a true community champion.
Our Club’s offer to match your gift will double your donation if your donation is made by December 31, 2022.
Help us accomplish our goal of donating $25,000 to support the great work of the Stoney Creek Community Food Bank and another $15,000 to benefit GBF’s annual Christmas Hamper program.
